It depend a lot on your interest as both the streams are relevant and demanding. Both institutions has brand tag of IIT. Scope wise both are equally good. Each branch has some advantage and disadvantage. For e. g chemical engineering may skip your chances of appearing in IES. I will suggest you to take decisions based on interest and future goal.
