GIBS continuously keeps its courses relevant to the current industry landscape by frequently updating the syllabus and adding real-world application (e.g., case studies, live work) to prepare students for successful careers in the global economy. Each course incorporates input from various professionals who have successful careers in their respective fields, and incorporates live projects, case studies, industry mentoring, and value-added credentials into the curriculum to address the needs of an ever-changing business environment. The curriculum is evaluated and updated periodically to account for trends associated with Industrial Revolution 4.0, while also including emerging disciplines like Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, and Fintech, resulting in students obtaining skillsets that both match the business landscape as it is today, as well as where it will be tomorrow. The inclusion of dual specializations, practical training modules, and interaction with industry practitioners enables students to adapt to the changing market and make themselves marketable across multiple industries.

GIBS Business School has designed a training method that focuses on placement and prepares students to be successful in both interviewing and in meeting the expectations of corporations. The training begins with a series of finishing-school modules that include; aptitude training, communication skills, group discussions, and mock interviews, all of which will help students feel confident and prepared for a successful interview experience.

Other forms of support for students in the preparation process include resume-building workshops, personality development sessions, and corporate etiquette training which all help students effectively present themselves to potential employers during the recruitment process. Students also have the opportunity to attend guest lectures, leadership talks, and interact with industry professionals. By interacting with professionals, students gain an understanding of the expectations an employer will have and what behaviour an employee should demonstrate in the workplace.

Through internships, live projects and mentoring from industry experts, students will also have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and practical exposure so they are well prepared for an interview and, ultimately, a successful career path. This ongoing preparation of students will give them the confidence, skills and professionalism that will be necessary for them to be successful in the interview process as well as in their future corporate careers.

Upon completion of GIBS, graduates' career options will be extensive (e.g., Banking & Financial Services; IT & Tech; FMCG; Retail; Consultancy; eCommerce; Health/Medical; Education).

The majority of companies will offer positions such as Marketing Executive; Business Development Executive; HR Executive/Recruiter; Financial Analyst; Relationship Manager; Operations Executive; or Management Trainee.

Graduates will enter the job market with the specializations of their choice (e.g., Marketing, Finance, HR, Business Analytics, etc.). The positions typically available are entry-level managerial and client contact, thus providing graduates with significant room for advancement in their chosen field.

With the appropriate amount of on-the-job training experience and internship involvement, in addition to the placement assistance provided by GIBS, graduates will have an excellent foundation upon which to launch their careers within professional-level corporate settings.

Compared to other business schools, GIBS has a more extensive industry exposure and types of practical learning. GIBS has a heavy emphasis on practical training and hands-on experiences.  Examples include;* site visits* to various industries, *guest speakers* and industry leaders, *corporate speaker* engagements, and *leadership presentation sessions* with industry leaders.

Other than hands-on experiences, GIBS incorporates the use of live documents, case studies, and internships as part of the curriculum so that students can apply what they have learned in the classroom to real-life business scenarios. Also, by having direct interaction with industry experts and tremendous networking opportunities to gather important information about their industries, GIBS students have a tremendous advantage by becoming familiarized with current workplace expectations and employment trends in their respective fields.
