Model Engineering College Thikkakara Kochi offers a wide range of courses under different streams which are-

More than 90% of students are getting placements every year. Among which CSE is the top branch of MEC in terms of placements. Top recruiters are Amazon, Flipkart, Deloitte etc.

B.Tech placements in the MEC kochi is good . The students in this college are getting the placements in the various companies like byju's Microsoft, oracle, yahoo, LinkedIn, Amazon with the average package around 28 to 36 Lacs per annum. 

Several leading companies are hiring the students into their companies with  better placements and opportunities . And the college also mainly focussing on the technical and personality aspects of the students in securing the best placement in campus interviews . 

One of the top college which got the rank of 38 outof 281 engineering colleges in India . 

Almost 97% of the CSE students are hiring into Indias leading companies and almost 90 % of the college strength are getting placement in campus interviews.

As the college is mainly focusing on the coding languages the major  students are getting the placements in coading .

Well engineering in both the college is better for the students. Both the college having their negatives and positives in their own way .

According to me the NIRF ranking is better for the model engineering college than the TKM institute of management. In the same way for securing the good gpa and to learn the subject and core in engineering then better to take TKM college because TKM is good in this way .

At the same time in coading way the MEC is the best one because this college is mostly focusing on the current trend of going on coading.  TKM is lacks much abilities in coading way .

At the same time MEC is better in providing the guidence and support to the students in projects and other aspects than the TKM .

These are the things of both the colleges . irrespective of this both the college are better for engineering and the nature in kochi is too good to have fun for the outsiders.

The students who are pursuing their UG and PG courses in the IISER institutes (which includes IISER Kolkata) will awarded with the KVPY - Kishore vaigyanik protsahan yojana scholars as per KVPY norms .

Along with this they are also eligible for the scholarship from the department of Science and technology in limited range with 5000/- in INR . For this the depatment of Science and technology selects the students who secured the highest marks and Percentage in the entrance exams who are admitted through JEE and SCB .

The IISER Kolkata will provide the scholarships for the students who secured the good and top marks in the semesters. Till now upto more than 19 students got selected for this scholarship from various courses like integrated PhD, PhD and BS-MS courses .

The average package for the M.Sc  students at IISER Kolkata is about 14 to 16 Lacs per annum in Indian rupees when coming to abroad INR you may  get around 60 to 70 Lacs per annum . And this values I have mentioned above is completely depend on the student's interview given, his percentile in academic studies along with the skills he/her have in the research field . Actually the values of the package I have mentioned about is decreased a bit recent times so the exact value is now same.  

But don't consider the salary.just go into the company or the research center which is hiring you and get the experience in the work which will help you in future .

Campus placements of IISER is good. Many of the students are exploring their interest in the Science field in several reputed places like DRDO, ISRO, BARC, TIFR .etc. It also provides internship to the students who are interested in both the public and private sectors. In addition this institute also provides the summer internships for the students to encourage them.

When coming to the salary for the B.Sc students the average annual package is  INR 8 Lakhs. You must also need to secure 60 % of the score in your academic years. But keeping the salary aside these institutions are providing the best campus placements for the students.

In my opinion both the institutions are good in there own way . 

Yes the IISER is good as presidency University Kolkata because IIISER is institutes are allowing the master projects outside the country and it is the best opportunity for the students to explore the Science field around the world . At the same time IISER is the one of the topmost  research institute in Indian if you want to pursue your degree in research field . 

But don't take the institute depends on the name of the institutes because the job opportunities are based on the degree certificate not on the name of the institute. But it's okay to overview about the college. 

Actually, the national testing agency will conduct the entrance exam called NCHMCT JEE for all the B.Sc courses in hotel management department. Students need to qualify in this exam to get a seat in HM colleges all over India. To enter into IHM Bhopal you need to secure 170 - 190 marks for OBC students and 100 to 110 marks for SC and ST students. In rank wise you need to get around 9000 to 11000 rank to enter into IHM Bhopal for OBC students and for SC and ST students you need to get more than 20000 also. These marks and ranks will vary every year which is based on the difficulty of the paper level and the number of students who appeared for exams and also the high marks secured and several other factors.
