The candidate should have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of the General and NC-OBC categories. If a candidate is for SC/ST, only 55%.

The minimum qualification for the course is having a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks from any UGC-recognised university. MMMUT conducts an entrance test (MMMUT ET) as for the admission criteria for the course.
