No the student and or Candidate cannot join Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences for BDS without taking NEET which is known as the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. Indian Dental Council which controls the admission to all the BDS colleges in India also require the students to have passed NEET. The course offered in Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences (CIDS) is the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programme in Virajpet, Karnataka where first year tuition fee is INR 225000. The MDS course can be completed in three years, and the university provides options for nine specializations. Candidates who have successfully passed their B. D. S. having obtained not less than fifty percent marks and have passed NEET MDS exam will make eligible for the post. • Completion of Compulsory Rotatory Internship by 31st march of current year.
• Obtained permanent registration with the Dental Council of India or any of the State Dental Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of admission.
• All Candidates should be qualified in NEET - MDS.
• Admission to the course shall be based on National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) - MDS conducted by National Board of Examinations.
