The 2023 CUET PG cutoff marks for the Master of Laws [L.L.M.] at Central University of Kerala were 90 for the General category. While in 2022 the cutoff marks for LLM at the Central University of Kerala were 26 marks in CUET-PG.

It could be said that the Central University of Kerala – Thiruvalla Campus is in a Tier 2 tier. The first tier of institutions in Indian teaching context is recognised as IITs, NITs, and some of the best ranked Central Universities with very high national ranking, research infrastructure, global acknowledgement etc.

Although, Central University of Kerala provides decent education, better faculty members If we don't see it in top 100 repeating list of the national frameworks like NIRF. Yes, the Central Universiry of Kerala - Thiruvalla Campus refund the fees according to their Fees refund policy.

No, without CUET -PG you cannot take addmission in the Central University of Kerala - Thiruvalla Campus.

This university requires CUET -PG  score for all the post graduate exam of university including the LLM. You must have more than 50% in the CUET PG exam for the LLM course in Central univerisity of the Kerala.

No, there is no direct admission process for Central University of Kerela. Admission process is based on the entrance exam CUET- Post Graduate Course. Candidate must have passed in CUET-PG course and reserve a seat for their LLM programme. Candidates must have completed their LLB with good percentile.

LLM and PhD in Law are the popular courses in the Thiruvalla campus. 
The LLM course is of two year duration with four semesters.

LLM is offered in Administrative law, Constitutional law, criminal law, commercial law, environment law, public health law etc. 

 

The department follows a choice based credit system. There are compulsory cures courses and electives as part of the syllabus. The faculty is also pretty good.

The Thiruvalla campus of Kerala Central University hosts the Department of Law. It is situated near the courts and is a two hour drive away from the High Court. It has a good faculty list with experienced professionals taking up the role. Six batches have completed their LLM programme up till 2021.

It offers LLM in Administration law, commercial law, environmental law, constitutional law etc. The campus is a normal building with three floors.

According to the official fee circular by the university's official website, the fee for LLM for the academic year 2024-25 is 30,000 in the first year and around 24,000 in the second year.

This fee is inclusive of tuition fee, professional development fund, placement assistance fee and course registration fee which is 400 per senester. 

There are 4 semesters and together it's a two-year course

Well, the Thiruvalla campus House the Department of Law. They offer LLM and PhD programmes.

The programmes are offered in Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Health Care Law, Public International Law, Environment Law and Commercial Law. It has been offered since 2014. The PhD programme however was started in 2017. 

Thus, the basic LLM programmes including Constitutional law and criminal law might be the best courses offered by Thiruvalla campus considering its relevance.

The Central University of Kerala (CUK), Trivandrum does not currently offer a stand-alone B.Com program.  On the other hand, its main campus in Kasaragod offers an Integrated B.Com. B.Ed. degree.

Cost of CUK's Kasaragod Campus Integrated B.Com. B.Ed.

  • Total tuition for four years: INR 4,720
  • Admission Fee One-Time: INR 6,540
  • If applicable, the hostel fee is INR 21,570.

CUK is a centrally funded university with far more affordable tuition than private ones.  The cost of a B.Com degree alone at private colleges can range from INR 50,000 to INR 2,00,000 annually; in contrast, CUK's fee structure is extremely reasonable.

According to the official Central University of Kerala website, there are 40 seats available for BA in International Relations which is again the only BA course which is offered by the university. This is according to the seat allocation circular for the academic year 2024-25.

The CUET examination cut-off standard required to qualify for B.Com at Central University of Kerala - Trivandrum Campus generally accepts 300- 350 marks out of 600 for the general stream. For the OBC and EWS category, the cut off ranges in between 260-300 For the SC/ST category, candidate secures between 200-250.

Despite that, it is mostly true that there might be slight changes in the cutoff each year due to the number of students that apply and the number of seats available, and the students' performance in CUET. Students with higher score they are having more chances during the counseling and the seat allotment process.
