The eligibility criteria for B.Ed (Distance) of BRAOU is given below. Educational Qualification : Candidates should have passed with at least 50% of marks either BA / B.Sc / B.Com. / BCA / B.Sc (Home Science)/ BBM and/or the Masters Degree in Science/Social Sciences/Humanities (relevant subject of Pedagogy) at the time of submitting the application for B.Ed. Entrance Test. Candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% marks in B.E/B.Tech. With Science/Mathematics as one of the subjects or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission into the B.Ed. (ODL) Programme. However the candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PWD should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination. Candidates who are appearing for final year examination in the Qualifying Examination (Bachelor or a Master Degree) can also apply. But they should be required to submit the Marks Memo and Pass Certificate (Provisional Certificate) of Qualifying examination at the time of Admission Counselling. Otherwise they are not allowed for admission. Apart from the above the candidates must fulfill any one of the following conditions as per NCTE-2014 Regulations. A) Should be Trained in-service Teachers in Elementary Education (NCTE recognised Teacher Training completed in-service Teachers in Elementary Education I. e. working in government/Aided/Local Body/ government. Recognised Schools). B) Should have completed NCTE recognised Teacher Education programme in Elementary Education through face-to-face mode (TTC/D. Ed. /D. El. Ed. / BEL. Ed. / TPT/ HPT/ UPT/ B.P.Ed. /D. P. Ed. -Qualification is must). .

The eligibility criteria of UGC NET for Assistant Professor and JRF is given below. Educational qualifications: Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Masters Degree or equivalent examination from universities/ institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science, etc. are eligible for this exam. Candidates who are pursuing their Master's degree or are waiting for their result or whose qualifying examinations have been delayed can apply for the test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and will be considered for award of JRF or recruitment as Assistant Professor only when they will pass their Masters Degree with at least 55% marks (50% marks for reserved category). Age for JRF: Candidates should not be more than 30 years as on June 1, 2020. Candidates belonging to OBC-NC, SC, ST, PwD categories, Transgenders and women applicants are provided a relaxation of up to 5 years. Candidates with research experience will also be provided age relaxation equivalent to the years/ period spent on research in the respective subject or Post Graduation Degree. Relaxation to researchers can be of up to 5 years and will only be provided on production of a certificate from the appropriate authority.
