Srm chennai is ranked higher than jaypee noida.so I WOULD prefer SRM.
but the thing is.srm is only good if you get the kattankulathur campus.but if u get the ramapuram or vadapalani campus.then go for jaypee noida

Depends on your wish there are variety of short courses are available. For programming language you can go dot net domain, Java domain and in the JAVA domain u can also go for Mobile or android domain. Whatever u choose one advice from me try to acquire a global certification on a particular field rather than a general Institution certificate, like SCJP. u can also go for cloude computing or for Hardware CCNA .
