Hi,
Yes and depends on your knowledge on the subject and demonstration of interests, taking the GRE alone will not guarantee an admission. Check with the universities first, some universities won't accept while some may. Pre-requisite courses may be required.

Hi,
Float: It means you have been allotted a seat and you've accepted the seat but you want a better programme(quite obvious) than what you've been allotted. In this case once you are allotted a seat in the further rounds, you'll lose the seat which was allotted previously. And the choices considered for float will be the ones which are above the allotted programme in your filled choices list. So its very important to fill choices intelligently. Focus on only those programmes which you want.

There are different ways of admission in MBA. Some institutes prefer CAT/XAT/ MAT scores only for admission to MBA course. And to appear for CAT/XAT/MAT etc student needs to have 50% in graduation. The institute does have good placement records, but you will never get 100% placement in any of the mass media colleges. So, you may get into NRAI college for mass communication.

Rutik,
Yes, you can have admission in admission in B.Tech after diploma. After Diploma, you get admission in 2nd year.of B.Tech. Admission to B.Tech lateral entry I.e. 2nd year of B.Tech is conducted by tests like LEET, which enables you to get admission in Govt.institutes.
Private universities like LPU, Chitkara, Manipal, etc offer admission in B.Tech lateral through your marks in Diploma or their own tests. All these universities have wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students apart from good placements that they offer. Some of these universities also offer scholarships.
Good luck.
