There are no marks required to get admission in Diploma courses in VJTI college. You can get admission after class 10th also. And then you can get lateral entry in various other Engineering courses in different branches.

There are two messes in VJTI one is for girls and another is for boys. These are located near respective hostel. Girls have totally different section and boys too. Girls mess is very hygienic with good taste and variety. Food in girls mess is cheap too. On the other hand boys mess have opposite qualities as compare to girls mess. Chapaties made here not good. Dals are made with less amount of cereals. 

You can find canteen in VJTI center which is good as compared to hostel mess. Here you get veg thali for 58rs . For 60-65rs you get different items at different days like sometimes chole bhature, sandwich, veg biryani, paneer chapati, egg biryani. So one also come here for meals. 

A college beside VJTI is ICT has renowned mess one can also go there for meal too. 

I like  canteen food which in college also enjoy different varieties

Students need not to worry if they miss the internal exams.They won't be failed semester examination.

Marks from internal exams (mid-semester exams) are taken into account throughout VJTI's final grading process.Actually, the midterm, final, and instructor evaluation scores are combined to create the final evaluation score.which places a 20% weight on the midterm exam, a 60% weight on the final exam, and a 20% weight on the instructor evaluation.If someone misses the internal tests due to a medical condition, they may retake the exam at the conclusion of the semester. But always make an effort to show up for tests;because the re-exams are hard to clear.

• In-Semeter tests are important

ISTs contribute heavily to SPA and it's easy to score in IST as compared to end-sem examinations. When I was a fresher, I was told otherwise. There was a senior of mine, who told me to ‘chill’ during ISTs and work harder in end sems. I should've ask for more opinions but I didn't. I ended up having very low first year GPA and now in seventh sem, I am still trying to revive my first year loss.

Don't be dependent on end sems for good grades.

• CGPA is not everything.

CGPA matters.

High CGPA opens a lot of opportunities like foreign internship, research internship with a reputed lecturer at IIT.

Above average CGPA can open doors to lots of companies and interviews. For further studies, CGPA is the reflection of your knowledge and dedication. It can be your make or break.

But average or low GPA doesn't mean you are good for nothing. A 7+ can sureshot provide you opportunity to appear for good and respectable company placements. You should work hard to get maximum GPA you can get but if you fail to get what you desired, it's okay. Your life won't end. Opportunities won't end.

Don't feel disheartened if you are not able to get desired grades.

A lot of time, people work really hard but couldn't cross the minimum threshold of GPA everyone keep stressing about.

There is no uniform in VJTI. But it does have a dress code. Shorts are strictly not allowed in VJTI.

Avoid wearing small and exposive clothes. Choose outfits that cover your shoulders, legs adequately.

ID card should be compulsory. Certain academic programs or practical sessions may require students to wear specific safety gear, such as lab coats, safety goggles, helmets, or closed-toe shoes. Students should comply with the safety guidelines and wear the necessary.

Overall, the dress code at VJTI focuses on maintaining a professional and respectful environment that aligns with the standards of an academic institution.Decent clothing should be maintained.

Students can engage in various organizations like Technovanza (Technical fest), Enthusia (Sport fest), etc. This provides exposure to personality development and improves ourselves. Faculties and staff are very supportive and they encourage us to take part in the events and get exposure to some managerial work. These events take place on the campus itself with all kinds of safety measures and to handle emergencies.

College campus is huge.Various Events, Guest lectures and Exhibitions are organised at big level in this college. College teachers and staff is highly supportive. College is located at very hygienic area of Matunga surrounded with Don bosco school and ICT college Mumbai.

In college many events held by Technovanza. For mechanical engineer VJTI racing is best for gaining practical knowledge about Mechanical stream. It is like doing 2 internships in Company.

The campus is not very big but a peaceful place with 16 acres of area, cricket ground, open study space and one football court. Building being constructed in 1887 is not very spacious but historic and somehow, more old fashioned that you will come to know after seeing the design of gates and windows. Mainly 3 entrance gates, one from Mechanical gate, one hostel GATE (on the wadala road) and one Main GATE (only place where you can read the name of college). Well I assure you one thing, you will be lost.

The best thing that happened to me in Mumbai is VJTI. Taking admission to this institute is worth it. Talking about the fests VJTI itself has its own SUNBURN. Also, technical fest Techovanza is one the biggest tech fests in India. The institute also offers various scholarships you just need to apply properly for that.

You need to score atleast 99.70+ percentile in MHT-CET to get CSE stream at VJTI Mumbai. So focus more and study in smart and disciplined way. Always remember “ Revision is the key of success”. Solve maximum number of sample paper to check your accuracy. Maintain high level of preparation. There is enough time left for MHT-CET. So all the best. For Cse cutoff rank is 250 and for Electrical it is 1470 and for mechanical it is 2800 is cloing rank and the closing rank for civil branch is 5600.

First, you have to give Maharashtra state engineering entrance exam called MHT-CET on the basis of percentile you got admission to this college you have to score a minimum of 180+ marks for the cs/it department for general category students.
