Addmission Process
Seats are filled through Central Counseling, conducted by Govt. of Odisha. The selection of candidates is made on the basis of merit according to the marks secured in 10+2 Science or equivalent examination.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must be of 17 years of age as of 31 Dec.
Candidate must have passed 10+2 Science or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (45% aggregate) & English as subjects for General category and 40% in case of SC/ST Category.
Candidate must have passed Odia up to M.E. standard in the case of Govt. Institution and Govt. seats in Private Institutions.
The candidate shall be medically fit for the course.
Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply (10% seats reserved for male candidates).

Astronauts are trained individuals who spend a considerable amount of time in space. Astronauts help maintain our Space Station and help maintain satellites. Astronauts are generally trained for more than 2 years to be able to withstand the climatic and air pressure difference when they travel to outer space. Astronauts are also in charge of studying various extraterrestrial objects such as asteroids, galaxies, meteors etc. (In india)For austronaut there are several requirements needed here I am mentioning some of them:-
1)you must be a citizen of India
2)Students must have a Bachelors degree from a recognised university/college. The degree could be either in computer Science, engineering, Physics mathematics, Chemistry or Biology. (mainly go for Aeronautical Engineering Courses or Astrophysics Courses or any other courses that are related and relevant to the field)
3)Applicants must have an aggregate of 65 percent or CGPA / CPI grading of a minimum of 6.84 on a 10 scale.
4)A Masters or doctorate degree in aerospace engineering, aeronautical engineering, Science is essential for higher positions and will add up to your achievements. And for the space missions there is a need for professional experience in aircraft (specially indian air force persons are preferred beacuse of their experience of piloting.
