The marking schemes change each year. Negative marks may be awarded for incorrect answers to some of the questions.

The candidates will be provided with the information on the marking scheme in the “Instructions to Candidates” section at the time of examination.

However, the only aspects of the JEE Advanced 2026 exam that remain constant each year are:

  • The exam will consist of two question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 of three hours duration each.
  • Both papers are compulsory.
  • Each question paper will consist of three separate sections, which are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Join a cricket academy, and play well. Try out for some club selection and show them what you have got. Give trials for state selections and zonal level cricket competitions, and then you may have the chance to play Ranji. Slowly, you will get better and can play international cricket.
Note: Age doesn't matter.
Abhimanyu Mithun (Indian cricket bowling ace) started his career at the age of 17 and played international cricket at the age of 20.

The cut off for the general category has been hovering around 95% for the last few years. The graduation scores were given a weight-age in calculating the overall performance grade of the candidates, but this is subject to change every year. You can expect a cut off along similar lines as well.
