India is on transition from Developing to Developed country, so lots of infrastructure will be built in coming 25 years. Civil engineer will play a major role in it.
There has never been dearth of opportunity for right candidates in any field. Problem lies with incompetent and underbaked civil engineers. Most of the graduates coming from colleges have not proper aptitude and interest in this little boring field.
