Admission to the B. Des programme at UCEED 2026 participating colleges will be on the basis of UCEED 2026 merit rank. So, candidates with a higher rank will get preference in the seat allotment process. The admission committee will also consider the college option opted by the candidate and their order of priority. Note that to get a merit rank in UCEED 2026, candidates must have qualified Part A. In case the candidate fails to qualify Part A, his or her Part B answer booklet will not be evaluated.

The candidate has to select a participating institute at the time of filling the UCEED 2026 counseling application form. The allotment of seats will be based on the merit rank of the candidate in UCEED 2026 and college option opted for at the time of registration. The admission committee will given preference to the higher ranked candidate in the allotment process. So, to give oneself a better chance of getting admission to ones preferred college, one must try to get a higher rank.

There are SIX participating institutes of UCEED 2024.

IIT Roorkee has newly joined the list of UCEED 2024 participating colleges.

These participating institutes offer a combined intake of 225 (up from 205 seats in the previous edition) seats for the B. Des programme. Admission to the B. Des programme will be based on UCEED 2024 merit. Of the five participating institutes, IIT Jabalpur has the highest intake at 66 seats. Meanwhile, IIT Bombay, which is the most sought after college has an intake of 37 seats. Note that the seat intake has been divided into various categories like Open, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and PwD.

TNOU provides financial assistance to students in the form of scholarships, fee waivers, and loans. Students need to fill out an application form and submit it to the TNOU office. Students also need to provide proof of your financial need such as income tax returns or their parents' income tax returns.

NBE will release the FMGE 2026 admit card for the June session on the official website four to five days before the exam. The admit card can be downloaded online mode. Candidates who successfully fill the application form are provided the FMGE hall ticket.

For B.Ed Spl.Ed., MPhil and PhD courses, candidates have to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the university. TNOU releases a rank list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. Selected candidates need to participate in the admission counselling.

Relocating the study centre is allowed provided the programme in which the candidate has taken admission, is activated in the new centre. They need to submit a request for change of study centre through e-mail. It will be communicated through mail after change is made effective. This will also be reflected on the TNOU website.
