If you have done PGDM which is approved by Association of Indian Universities (AIU), equivalent to MBA, then you are eligible to do Ph.D. You may look at AIU list, and know whether your PGDM is equivalent to MBA or not.

Quantitative aptitude, general English, general knowledge are the main and major parts to prepare for the exam. There are a lot of books available in the market. You can start with RS Aggarwal for maths, go for Wren and martin for English and go for GKgrip for current affairs.
