In simple terms, cyber security deals with the security of computer systems from the theft of computer hardware, software, data and disruption or misdirection of the services provided by computer systems. Without cyber security, computer systems we use may come under different types of harmful activities such as unauthorized access, phishing, spoofing, DoS attacks, data theft etc. Such activities can often lead to monetary loss, identity theft and loss of precious data.
