Kalinga University, Raipur is a student-centric UGC-approved university that attracts students from India and over 20 international countries. It is the eighth private University in India that is approved under Section 12B by the UGC.

Kalinga University's admission process for M.Sc. is based on a merit list and entrance exam. 
 The university offers M.Sc. specializations in physics, zoology, microbiology, and biochemistry. 
To be eligible for admission, candidates must have:
A graduation or PG degree with the following aggregate marks: 45% for General, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST
A minimum of 40% marks in graduation to be eligible for the entrance exam
A minimum of 45% marks in 10+2/HSC or its equivalent qualifying examination from a recognised Board 
Admission to Kalinga University's UG/PG/Doctorate programs is based on the Kalinga Scholastic Entrance Examination (KALSEE). KALSEE is a Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted by Pearson VUE and held in various cities across India and other countries.

 The university conducts the Kalinga Scholastic Entrance Examination (KALSEE) to ensure a fair and transparent selection process. The KALSEE cutoff is an important criterion that determines the minimum score required for admission to M.Sc and other programs.

The KALSEE 2023 cutoff has been released by the university for admission to all the courses. Candidates are required to appear for KALSEE and qualify for the cutoff score to be eligible for the next step of admission. The final selection is done based on merit obtained in the entrance examination and the availability of seats.

 The KALSEE 2023 cutoff for M.Sc is 50% marks secured out of maximum marks in the test.

The KALSEE 2022 cutoff for M.Sc was also 50% marks secured out of maximum marks in the test.

The KALSEE 2021 cutoff for M.Sc was 55% marks secured out of maximum marks in the test.

Kalinga University has a good record of placements. During the 2021 placements, 809 students were placed in reputed companies. Out of the total students placed, 405 students were from the UG programmes and 404 were from the PG programmes. Kalinga University placement report 2023 is yet to be published on the official website. However, the NIRF report 2023 is released. As per the report,  475 UG and 426 PG students were placed during Kalinga University placements 2022. The median package offered to UG students ranged between INR 2.5 LPA and INR 4.2 LPA,  respectively. For PG (1-year) and PG (2-year) courses, the median package stood at INR 2.55 LPA and INR 4.5 LPA, respectively.

The eligibility criteria at Kalinga University is based on the merit list of students and it varies from course to course.The student who has passed his/her graduation B.Sc with minimum of 40% marks is eligible for the admission and then he has to pass an entrance exam of Kalinga University named KALSEE ( Kalinga Scholastic entrance exam). It is a CBT which is compulsory for every student while taking admission in the university. It is a 90 minute duration with 90 MCQs test which has no negative markings. The expenses difference between  Kalinga University and Shri  Shankaracharya technical campus varies from course to course. For example expenses for the course BTech in Kalinga University is 1.41 Lakhs (1st year only) and expenses for BTech in Shankaracharya technical campus is about RS 80,400 ( 1st year only) and the expenses for MBA in Kalinga University is 2.11 Lacs (1st year only ) and same for the MBA in Shankaracharya technical campus is about RS 80,900. If we take an overall view in point of college expenses difference between Kalinga University and Shri Shankaracharya technical campus then Kalinga University is more expensive than Shri Shankaracharya technical campus.

Selection process for admission in BSC at Kalinga University is as follows.

Application: Candidates need to fill the online application form available on the university's official website which is Kalingauniversity.ac.in .

Eligibility: For B.Sc, 12th pass with minimum 40% marks and an entrance exam KALSEE (kalinga Scholastic entrance exam ) University's own entrance test and it is not compulsory to pass CUET exam for admission in the university. Students just need to appear and clear KALSEE exam for admission in Kalinga University.

Counselling: Students who passed the KALSEE are eligible for admission in B.Sc and are informed for their counselling at University.

The entrance exams scores accepted by the university varies from course to course. For example if a student wants to take admission in BTech he or she can show his/her JEE score, but it's compulsory for all the students to pass KALSEE (Kalinga Scholastic entrance exam) for the admission process completion and to pass  KALSEE student who is able to score 50% marks in it can pass it easily and there is no negative marking in that exam.
