Eligibility Criteria for COMEDK 2014 :
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC from any recognized university or Board in the country
- Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Maths and obtained a minimum aggregate score of 45%. (40% for SC/ST)
- Physics and Maths should be the compulsory subjects along with any one of the following optional subjects - Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology
- Candidates must have also studied English
- Candidates who have competed 10+3 Diploma from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) are also eligible to apply
If you fulfill the criteria mentioned above, then you may sit for the exam.

- Graduate professionals from this field can seek employment in public and private sectors, banking, insurance, accounting, stock markets, e-commerce and marketing.
- One can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges.

- Budget Analysts
- Finance Managers
- Teacher/lecturer
- Marketing Managers
- Business Consultants
* Government job opportunities after BCA :
- One may work in the Petroleum sector such as ONGC, Bharat Petroleum etc.
- One may even work for Telecom Sector (BSNL, MTNL etc).
- One can be placed as Bank Clerk, Probationary officer, Short service commission for Army and Navy, IAS, IPS, CBI, Groups examinations, RRB and UPSC.
- Opportunities are also available under various ministries. To join any of these organizations the candidates will need to clear the entrance exams or PSC tests.
- BCA candidates can also try for jobs in the electronic data entry departments on a permanent as well as contract basis.
* Salary :
Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc. To give you a brief idea, the initial salary starts from Rs 15, 000 - Rs 20, 000 per month.
