Placement opportunities are equally promising in both BA Economics and BA Humanities at Lovely Professional University (LPU). In 2023, the placement rate for BA Economics was more than 90%, with an average salary package of approximately INR 6.37 LPA, and a maximum package of INR 30 LPA. Graduates were generally found working in finance and consulting, along with data analysis. For the BA Humanities course, the placement rate was slightly lower at greater than 80%, with average packages closer to INR 5.37 LPA, and the maximum at INR 25 LPA. Typical jobs are in journalism, education, public relations, and civil services. Students across both fields had the most common placements at standard firms such as Google, Amazon, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, and Bosch. Placement cells at LPU are responsibly dedicated to conducting campus drives, which equips student competencies, and make sure students as a viable connection to the top companies. With colleges across the disciplines having very strong ties to the industries, there is sufficient engagement for either profession, in which students are prepared for almost every professional opportunity.
