Yes, it is mandatory for candidates to appear for both KSET Paper 1 and 2 to qualify for the KSET exam. The candidates have to qualify for both papers separately. Candidates who will qualify for one paper will not be considered as qualified for the KSET exam. Paper 1 consists 50 questions for 100 marks. Paper 2 consists 100 questions for 200 marks. For 2025 cutoff information of M.Sc in Chemical Sciences at IISc Bangalore, we should go through the previous cutoffs alsl.

For 2023 in GATE, General cutoff was 600, cutoff of OBC was 500 and for SC/ST was 350. 

For 2024, General cutiff was 700, cutiff for OBC was 500 and for SC/ST, it was 400

We can expect average cutiff for 2025 be 750-800, for OBC (500) and for SC/ST it maybe 400-450
