# BCA is the three year full time course to introduce the concepts of Computer Application
Duration: 3 years
Eligibility: A Candidate applying for the BCA Programme should have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from any statutory board with minimum 45% of marks in aggregate(40 % in case of SC/ST candidates)
Admissions are based on entrance exam score.

Digital Computer Fundamentals
Programming Language COBOL
Object Oriented Programming with C++
Relational Data Base Management System
System Analysis and Design
Mathematics
Computing
Job prospects are available in various areas like programming, networking, system administration etc. There are many companies which specialize in these areas like WIPRO, TCS etc. But the scope is not limited to the IT companies. Most organizations whether big or small nowadays will have requirements in the IT sections. These include Banking sector, Telecommunication sector, Dairy Sector etc.
Many software and oil industries abroad recruit graduates in computer application. These companies pay the graduates with very high salaries. They can earn upto Rs.30,000/- per month in initial stage itself.

Please remember in the present day scenario, there is no course or studies which girls can't do, today girls are in every field be it in medicine or in Army, Navy or Air force.
So all the fields are open for boys and girls, and the best is selected irrespective of the of the gender, so it would be always advisable to select a course or a career in which you have interest.

Do you intend to first study for 10+2 and then go for animation? In that case I would recommend that as you study for your 10+2, you start practicing sketching to begin with. Try to observe things closely and sketch them. You can also buy good sketch books from the market for sketching including shading, shadows, and human figures. However, soon you may have to upgrade to more serious books like "The Animator's Survival Kit" by Richards William. Later on you may take up a Degree (multimedia and animation or in design and graphics). Arena also offers such a Degree. Just for your knowledge Animation draws the best out of a Creative Person.
