Many colleges, institutes and universities offer certificate, diploma, graduate and post-graduate courses in Textile Designing.
For diploma or graduate courses, the minimum eligibility criteria is 10+2 pass and for post-graduate courses the minimum qualification is graduation in textile design or allied subjects.

While selecting the best institute, you need to check some of the important parameters such as recognition, year of establishment, batch size, syllabus, faculty, fees, placements etc.

Fee Structure :
Every institute has it's own course specific fee structure. In order to know the exact fee it would be always advisable to browse through the official website of the institute or contact the officials directly.

As a textile designer, there are many avenues and opportunities. You can opt for a career in :
-export house
-textile mill
-manufacturing and processing company that produces clothing, soft furnishings and other textiles-based products
-several large fashion and clothing retailers
-design studios and consultancies
-handloom cooperatives and buying agencies
You may even work as freelancer. And with good experience and contacts, you can eventually open your own business.

Salary :
Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc.
But, to give you a brief idea, a fresher one can earn around 15-20 thousand per month.
In export houses experienced textile designers may draw Rs 25,000 to Rs 40,000 per month.
