OPPH stands for Orthopedically Physically Handicapped, while PWD stands for Persons with Disabilities. Both OPPH and PWD are terms used to refer to people who have disabilities that affect their mobility or physical abilities. OPPH is a term used specifically for people with orthopedic disabilities, such as those who have had amputations, spinal cord injuries, or other conditions that affect their bones, joints, or muscles. PWD is a more general term used to refer to people with a wide range of disabilities, including physical disabilities, hearing and visual impairments, and intellectual disabilities. With regard to the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination), there is a reservation quota for PWD candidates, but there is no specific quota for OPPH candidates. The PWD quota is reserved for candidates with a disability of 40% or more, and they are eligible for a certain percentage of seats in each course offered by participating institutions.
