K-TET 2019 Eligibility Criteria for Category II (Upper Primary Classes)
Aspirants meet KTET eligibility criteria if they possess any of the below mentioned educational qualifications:
BA/BSc/B.Com and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education/Trained Teachers Certificate (TTC) [by whatever name known] conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.
Or,
BA/BSc/B.Com with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
Or,
Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (Bel.Ed)
Or,
Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year BA/B.Sc.Ed or BA Ed or B.Sc.Ed
Note: Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST and Differently abled categories. Also, 3% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks is admissible for OBC & OEC candidates.

The latest eligibility for DAV colleges is as folows:
Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board/ university and secured 50% marks or equivalent.
Admission procedure is:
- Admission is on the basis of merit in 10+2
- 5% weightage will be given to the students who have passed qualifying examination with atleast 3 commerce subjects
- Fraction of marks less than the requisite percentage would not be rounded off to the advantage of the candidate I.e. 32.9%, 39.9% and 49.9% shall not be rounded off to 33%, 40%, 50% etc.
- Holders of NCC A, B and C certificate shall be given the weightage in marks for admission as A - 1%, B - 2% and C - 3% and a maximum weightage in marks of 4% for distinction in any or all the co-curricular activities achieved in any of the 3 years preceding the year of admission is permissible
- Candidates whose result of 10+2 examination in February/ March conducted by a school board is published late, but not later than August 10 of the year of admission, may be admitted without late fee within 15 working days of the declaration of the result and his/ her attendance shall be counted from the date of admission and this would be applicable to students of open school board also.
