KIIT School of Electronics Engineering follows a structured reservation policy for its M.Tech admissions. Seats are set aside for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Physically Challenged candidates as per the university norms. Merit lists are prepared separately for these categories.

At KIIT School of Electronics Engineering, the final M.Tech selection is done through a merit-based counselling session. Based on the entrance exam ranks or GATE scores, a merit list is prepared for each specialization. Shortlisted candidates are then invited to choose their preferred branch depending on seat availability.
