Let 100 units be B’s income and X units be B’s expenditure A’s income = 60 units

A’s expenditure =   50X100unitsBut60= (80100)×XX=75

B’s saving = (100 – 75) units = 25 units

Hence, A’s saving =

60 − (50100)×75units=22.5units

A’s saving : B’s saving = 22.5 : 25 = 9 : 10

et the present ages be X, Y, and Z years (X – 5): (Y – 5): (Z – 5) = 2 : 4 : 5 and taking pairwise values. Substitute these values in the equation

2a + 4a + 5a = x + y + z – 15

11a = 165

a = 15

Five years ago ages were 30, 60, 75

Present ages are 35, 65, 80.

Let the number of men be 100.

Then, Men × Time = Work

100 × 1 = 100 unit

Amount of work increased by 50%.

So, New work = 150 unit

as the planned time remains same i.e. 1

Then men required will be 150 i.e., 50 more workers but since new workers are 25% more efficient i.e. 54 times efficient as existing workers.

 Actual number of workers = 505/4 = 40 men

 Required percent = 40100×100 = 40%

We have (A – 20) = 0.4 (B + 20), i.e. A – 0.4B = 28

And (B – 40) = 0.4 (A + 40), i.e. B – 0.4A = 56

Solving we get, A = Rs. 60
