If you had Statistics in B.Com only you can join M.Sc (Statistic ) (minimum 60% marks).
Only a few seats for M Sc Statistics. The first preference is B Sc Statistics or Maths with Statistics. It is unlikely to get a seat in PG statistics for B.Com degree holders.

It depends on your interest also. More demanding the subject, more the competition. Less demanding the subject skills lesser the competition. Similarly in this case, B.Sc. Chemistry has more scope but competition in the same segment is high. Whereas in B.Sc. Biotech competition is low but scope is also limited. B.Sc. Biotechnology is more job oriented but will cost more.
