Hello Gaurav, First don't feel bad about your percentage and second yes You can join the IT courses like BCA , BE/BTech in CS and IT.But it will be better for you to do any of these courses from a premier or reputated institutes.But Personally i would suggest,if you have very deep interest in programming and zeal to learn new technologies and interest in software then go for the IT courses because there is very tough competition in IT world on the basis of skills in programming and academic percentages.So if you are lagging in percentages then you have to prove yourself on the basis of programming skills, learning skills of new technologies .Otherwise you can rethink over your decision of IT courses and choose some combinations of PCM or PCB and go for some other better degree courses.Hope this will help in taking a good decision. If you have done 12th with maths then you have many options in computer Field
Mainly
1) BCA
2) Bsc IT
3) Btech (CS)
But if you will ask for my opinion i will advise you to do Btech (CS) insted of BCA or Bsc IT. I do have some reasons of saying this which i am explaining.
1) Company give more preference to Btech student instead to BCA or Bsc IT
2) You can't expect a good career after Bsc IT or BCA but you can after Btech (CS)
3) After Btech (CS) you can directly do Mtech but after BCA or BscIT you have to do MCA or MscIT for doing Mtech.
4) Degree of Btech (CS) is equivalent to MCA in computer science field
5) In BCA you will learn only two subjects of mathematics but in MCA entrance there will be 90% questions from maths of Bsc maths level. I think MCA is designed for Bsc Students :) ( MCA is of three years and in 1st year of MCA they teach basics which BCA student have already learned and they give reason that Bsc maths student's are not fully aware of programming) . Then what's the reason of running BCA course just run Bsc (maths) and MCA .
So you better be aware of these facts
You can verify these by consulting to any IT expert or a person working in IT field or any teacher teaching in IT colleges
