Hello Hemal! In India, both are considered equivalent. However in abroad, MBA is given more preference as it is globally recognized degree. Having said that, the B-school from where you are pursuing that degree becomes, sometimes, more important. E.g. PGDM from a top ranked B-school is any day valuable than a MBA from an average one and vice-versa.

If you think you will be better off doing a course in B.Sc. (Hotel Management), and if your interests lie in Hotel Management, you should pursue your interests. However, since you have already taken admission in B.Tech you should weigh the pros and cons of leaving your B.Tech course midway, as B.Tech graduates have immense career prospects, and you could always do an M.Sc in Hotel Management after completing your course in B.Tech.
