Please remember it is not late to start preparing for CAT exam in last last year of graduation.

However if you think that it is not possible for you prepare for this exam in this span of time.
So in that case I would suggest you to work for 2-3 years after completing your B.tech and then opt for a full time MBA or PGDM program, the advantage of this step would be that after working for few years you would know which specialization to opt in MBA that can further enhance your career prospects, however as per your profile pursuing MBA in operations management would be the best option for you.
This work experience of yours will give you competitive advantage over other candidates with no work experience during MBA admission.
