IISER Mohali is slight hard to get as its admission and selection is based on various entrance exam. For Bsc admissions its JEE Main and JEE advanced which are to be considered. There is also one more college level entrance exam which is IISER entrance exam to get throught this college. Geeting a good score in these entrance exams is a challenge and depends upon the rank you score. In Bsc the rank considered by the institute was around 2229. 

IISER Mohali is famous for its Phd's and BS- MS dual degree courses. It has been ranked as 50 by NIRF ranking to be anomgst the top research institute in India. It also offers 11 courses in science stream only. The fees paid for these courses is also reasonable amongst the other colleges. Also , IISER Mohali is giving good placement package. The median package offered by the college was 8 lpa. It is one of the most popular courses known for its science courses and fees.

The cost of studying at IISER Mohali varies depending on the programme and the academic year. The fee structure for BS-MS and PhD students for the academic year 2022-23 is available on the institute's website. According to the fee structure, the average annual fee for BS-MS courses is around 75,400 INR, while the average annual fee for PhD courses is around 87,390 INR. However, SC/ST candidates are exempted from tuition fees and PD candidates are given a 50% waiver on tuition fees.

Ranchi University continues to host a variety of companies for campus recruitment. Wipro, HDFC Bank, TCS, Infosys, and others all visit the university for campus recruitment. Students are eligible for placements from second year. For BCA around 50-60% students get placed. The total tuition fees at Ranchi University is around 33 thousand. Ranchi University offer many courses for undergraduation for a duration of 3-4 years and all post graduation courses are for a duration of 2- 3 years. BCA is a three year course. In Ranchi University, its fee is approximately Rs.3,600. For admission, the candidate is required to pass 10+2 with good marks. If we look at the admission procedure for BCA course the application form is there available on the university webiste which needs to be downloaded and you need to fill that along with required documents mentioned in it like 10th,12th marksheet. Admission is based on merit and the exam is national level entrance exam. 

Ranchi University is a government University whereas NIMS University is a private university. As private universities have better infrastructure, college life and extra curricular activities. NIMS is better than Ranchi University in various aspects like the faculty members are good and highly qualified. The are well-equipped with modern facilities like computer labs and all. I will prefer NIMS BBSR for BCA course. In Ranchi University, the BCA placements packages are also quite lower as compared to Naxatra Institute of Media Studies .

Ranchi University was founded in year 1960 whereas Naxatra Institute of media Studies (NIMS BBSR) was established in the year 2009. NIMS claims the highest package of Rs. 12 Lacs and average package of Rs. 4.5 Lacs per annum. NIFR ranking of NIMS is 151. It has academic collaboration with various Indian as well as international universities. According to me, NIMS  has better placements specially in media studies. 

The placement cell of Ranchi University was established in 2010and has facilitated various recruitments by many prestigious companies like  Wipro, ICICI Bank, Tech Mahindra, Concentrix, Vodafone - Idea, Bajaj finance, H.D.F.C Bank, British telecom, Liker fashion, Piramal Swastya, Chola Mandalam, Deccan iservices, Kotak Talent Academy, JSLPS, Medica Hospital and many more. The number of students placed through the campus interviews is increasing year by year.

The placement report of 2023 is not yet out by the Ranchi University. As per the NIRF report, the highest package for PG (2 year) at Ranchi University for the year 2022 was INR 3.90 LPA and amongst that the total of 98 students got placed. There has been a significant dip in the package value since the year 2019 when the highest was INR 4.80 LPA. The highest package for B.Tech course offered by Ranchi University for the year 2023 is INR 6 LPA. This package value is among the 60% placement rate. 

In Ranchi University, BCA programme covers topics such as programming, web development, data structures, etc. The eligibility for BCA admissions in Ranchi University is to must pass class 12th from any stream. Usually a minimum aggregate percentage of 45-55 is considered for admission into any BCA programme. However, Ranchi University requires a minimum 12th aggregate percentage of 55-60 for BCA admission. The raise is seen due to number of applicants appearing with better percentage.

However, the cut-offs of various all India based exams should be checked on the portals of respective conducting authorities. 

The cut-off of various exams differ. The number of candidates appearing and the number of candidates securing the highest marks and ranks are usually the determinant factors of cut-offs. For example, the NEET cut-off percentile is determined by this method-100xNumber of candidates appeared with a raw score equal to less than the candidate/total number of candidates who appeared. However the seat eligibitly may differ from cut-off marks. Cut-off marks may indicate the overall eligibilty of a candidate to apply for the admission but seats maybe alloted to the highest score bearers.

The application forms for various courses offered by Ranchi University usually come out in the official portal of the University. The dates concerning the release of application forms depends on the courses preferred. For any all India entrance exam based course, the forms are out generally after 3-4 weeks after the exam completetion. For other courses for which University conducts merit and entrance exams, the notification regarding it is sent 1-2 months beforehand in the official portal of the University. Candidates should regularly keep tabs on the official site to remain updated with the concerned dates.
