Hello Yogesh, spot round or mop-up round is kept to fill up vacant seats in mostly first come first serve" basis. Hence which seats are available becomes clear only after all normal rounds are exhausted and students' wishes fulfilled as per the order of merit. But even at this stage, it was observed that seats in some branches were lying vacant. To fill these and also to give the last opportunity to students, this round was devised. Hence information about vacant seats is displayed only after the last round but many a time it springs surprises too. Best wishes to you.
