The student life at Central University of Kashmir is considered cool, and there is no examination pressure because examinations are conducted on time. The campus is spread over 503 acres, and the university comprises nine schools, including Science, Technology, Education, Social Sciences, and others. The university has a library, hostel, sports complex, and labs, among other facilities. The university offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs under different streams, including B.A. LL.B., B.Sc, M.Sc, MBA, and others. The university has a placement cell that organizes various activities to prepare students for placements, and around 50-60% of students got placed in various courses. The university also offers scholarships to eligible students.

Comparing the BBA programs at B.N. College, Patna University, and Acharya Bangalore Business School (ABBS) can be done based on the following factors:

Program structure: Both B.N. College and ABBS offer undergraduate BBA programs. The curriculum at ABBS covers topics such as marketing, finance, human resources, and operations management. Similarly, the BBA program at B.N. College focuses on providing students with a strong foundation in business and management principles.

Minimum cutoff: B.N. College requires a minimum of 50% aggregate in Class 12 for BBA. ABBS requires a minimum of 45% aggregate in Class 12 for BBA.

Placement opportunities: ABBS has a strong placement record, with the highest package being 22.50 LPA. However, the highest package offered by B.N. College was INR 24 LPA.

Rankings and reputation: ABBS is ranked 61st in Top B-Schools and 21st in South Zone by IIRF 2023. B.N. College's also ranked among the top 1% of the best B-schools in India and listed as the 40th best B-School in the B-School survey by Business India.

The Department of Economics strictly adheres to the syllabus approved by Patna University, which is revised time to time. The latest revision of the syllabus was done in 2015.
The course offered by the Department is a regular Under-graduate course for a period of 36 months.
Admission in this programme is done through Common Entrance Test conducted by Patna University. Before PUCET, college entrance test was conducted.

The Department of Economics also runs a self financing three year vocational course – Bachelor in Business Administration.

Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) curriculum has been introduced in BBA programme since 2019. The course offered by the Centre for BBA is a self-financing programme for a period of 36 months divided into six semesters.

The eligibility criteria for admission in this course is Intermediate with 45% marks. There are 60 seats sanctioned for admission in this course. To maintain the transparency in admission process, centralised entrance exam are conducted by Patna University.

Admission in B.A. (Economics) and BBA is done through Common Entrance Test conducted by Patna University. Teaching is imparted through various modes such as Classroom learning, Group Discussion, Lectures through Power Point Presentation etc.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, online teaching method has also been adopted by the department so that the learning activities of students is not suffered. Remedial or extra classes are also conducted by the faculty members for the slow learners as a booster dose.

The teaching faculty members are also engaged in mentoring the students on academic and personal issues. Learning through e-resources are encouraged due to the changing nature of education system. Student-centric learning methodologies are used for enhancing learning experiences. Students are encouraged to collect data from various Government departments and organizations, do market survey and present the survey reports. Seminars and Webinars are also organized by the department to bring academic flexibility in students. Class tests, Quizzes and Sent-up exams are conducted for continuous periodical evaluation of the progress of students.

The Department of Economics is located in the main building of Bihar National College, Patna University at Ashok Rajpath. The aim of the department is to impart teaching to undergraduate students strictly adhering to the syllabus approved by Patna University. Along with this, the Department of Economics also runs vocational course: Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA). It was started in 2007. The Head of Economics Department is also the Co-ordinator of BBA course. The Department provides the facility of various classrooms equipped with ICT tools, departmental library, computer lab, washroom for boys and girls, drinking water facility etc.and the

• For the Biology program, the cutoff marks for the Unreserved category have ranged from 88-60 to 59-42, and for the Backward Caste categories, the cutoff marks have varied from 59-55 to 59-51.
• For the Arts program, the cutoff marks for the Unreserved category have varied from 75-61 to 55-47, and for the Backward Caste categories, the cutoff marks have ranged from 60-57 to 60-55.
• For the Mathematics program, the cutoff marks for the Unreserved category have ranged from 87-66 to 65-53, and for the Backward Caste categories, the cutoff marks have varied from 65-63 to 65-53.

Our college does not provide placements for B.Sc students. Companies won't visit our college to recruit B.Sc students. Only a few students got placed in BCA and BBA courses. Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good.

Patna College UG Admission 2023

Applying now, the first-year fees for BA {Hons.} are INR 1,858. Applications for BBA {Hons.} are now being accepted, with a first-year cost of INR 15,000. First-year fees for BCA are INR 12,000 B.Additionally, M.C charges INR 15,000 for the first year. INR 66,600 is the fee for biotechnology, and INR 54,600 is for computer applications.29 PG Diploma programs are available, with tuition costs ranging from 1.6 K to 75.9 K. A 45–50% score on the graduation degree is required for eligibility. A graduation degree with a 45–50% score is required for admission to any of the 40 M.A. courses, which have fees ranging from 5.7 K to 40 K. Applicants must have a graduation degree with a 45–55% score. M.Sc. offers 17 courses with tuition fees ranging from 11.2 K to 81 K.

COMPUTER APPLICATION COURSE:

(1) To enroll in the B.Sc. Computer Application Course, a student must have completed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a grade of at least a 2.

(2) Passing the I.A., I.Sc., or I.Com exam (a+2 level exam) is a requirement for enrollment in the BA Computer Application Course.

In order to be eligible for admission to this vocational course, a student must meet the following requirements: (a) pass the intermediate exam of the board, university, established or incorporated by law; (b) complete a 12-year course of the Central or State Board; (c) complete the 10+2 System or an equivalent recognised by Patna University; and (d) receive at least 55% of the possible points in aggregate for general applicants or other categories of applicants; candidates from SC, ST, and BC must receive 45% of the total.
