Totally depends on your course, duration and where and how you want to live. Let’s consider that you are going for a two year master program. On calculating average tution fee, the sum is 11 lakh/year. So, for 2 years that sums up to 22 Lakhs. Now lets consider the accommodation and living expenses. The average cost incurred in living expenses by an Indian student in Minnesota per month is 1000 $ (Food, Travel, Accommodation, entertainment) which sums up to 12000$ per year which comes roughly around 10 Lakhs/year (Considering exchange rate to be 1$=82 INR) adding 2 year costs it is 20 Lakhs. If we add Air tickets and other miscellaneous costs to it, it comes around 45 Lakhs for a two year Masters course. This cost can go up by a 2-3 Lakhs (Keep that in mind). So, I would say that it would take you around 45-48 Lakhs to study in MSU for 2 year master program.

-        Proof of English Proficiency: Scores from tests like TOEFL or IELTS to demonstrate your ability to understand and communicate in English.

-        Optional Documents: While not mandatory, including documents like letters of recommendation, standardized test scores (ACT/SAT), or a portfolio (for art or design programs) can strengthen your application.

There are many scholarships for International students at MSU which includes Indian students itself. The two most popular ones are;

1-     International Maverick Scholarship.

To avail this scholarship an International student must:

• Maintain valid F-1 or J-1 immigration status
• Achieve a term GPA of 2.5 or a cumulative Minnesota State Mankato GPA of 3.0
• Successfully earn/complete a minimum of 12 credits each semester Complete 30 hours of volunteer service each academic year.

This scholarship is for all new under-grad students and the ones who maintain the aforesaid pointers from year 1 automatically get it renewed in consecutive years.

2-     Global Maverick scholarship.

To assist students from underrepresented countries, Global Education sponsors 20 scholarships for first-year F-1 students from target locations. Each scholarship is valued at $4,000 and awarded over 4 years of undergraduate study. Additionally, each recipient will receive personalized help in securing on-campus employment starting their first semester on-campus.

Except these there are also scholarships (ONE-TIME) awarded on past academics and referral scholarships too of 500$ that referrer and referee both will get.

I believe that you are asking for on-campus housing but I’ll give you the information about the both types of housing you can take here either in campus or nearby. If you take up a double sharing room for an entire academic year, it’ll cost you around 6600 $ and lets say you take up a full bath single in a 3 person suite for an academic year  then it’ll cost you a good amount of about 9300 $. You can do the monthly maths here. For food, anytime meal will cost around 3300 $/year. However, if not the campus housing there are options outside too. From 500-700 $/bedroom +bathroom are the rates outside and here best thing is food is upto you. Around 150-200$ is enough. So, lets say if you are living outside and sum up your expenses for a month including entertainment and transportation I don’t think an average life living student will go beyond spending 1100-1200 $/month.
