Hi Rahul,
There is no universal logic to say that one particular branch is best. It depends on what is your aspiration and interest you can select particular branch for engineering. For example if you are good in mathematics and have mechanical or civil interest you can go for mechanical/civil braqnch. If you like computer most and want to join IT or other business driven industry, you can see for CS/IT. Similarly for EC and Electricals. So first do a self analysis on what suites you best in terms of your interest and your current subject expertise, you can go for particular branch.

To take admission, there is Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and Universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests.
