You have not write about the college/university name from where you wish to pursue the M.Sc. Genetics course. However, the eligibility criteria of DU's is given below for reference please.
Eligibility criteria of M.Sc. Genetics: A student seeking admission of M.Sc. (Genetics) must have passed B.Sc. (General) or B.Sc. (Hons. ). Or an equivalent undergraduate degree in any branch of life sciences / physical sciences / chemical sciences / mathematical sciences / medical sciences / pharmacology / any branch of biology / paramedical sciences with at least 60% marks in their main subject (for Hons. Stream) or in aggregate (for B.Sc. General) or other equivalent undergraduate degree. Those appearing for their final year exams can also appear for the entrance test, but they will have to produce the provisional certificate of results by the end of July of the concerned year. So from above B.Sc. BZC course is falling under the Life Science stream. Hence, you are eligible for pursuing the M.Sc. Genetics course.

The Science stream candidates can apply for CSIR NET exam which is similar to UGC NET exam conducted to determine the eligibility criteria for assistant professor and JRF. The CSIR NET exam is held in five subjects in life Science, mathematical Science, physical Science, chemical and earth Science subjects. The CSIR NET exam is divided in three sections. Sections 1 is common for all the subjects while paper 2 and 3 consists questions form their post-graduation subjects or its related subjects only. As paper 2 &3 consists questions related to your PG subject, they should apply for their PG subject or its related subjects only. The registration process for June session has been extended by NTA for the fourth time till 30th June. As you have completed the post-graduation degree in mathematics, you can apply for CSIR NET mathematics subject, Hope it will help. All the best.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE : Admission to the First Year BMS classes is conducted as per the guidelines and schedule announced by the University of Mumbai. The schedule of admission is displayed on College Website (www.mithibai.ac.in) and the Notice Board as it is received from the University. Students must register online on admission. The university portal link to be eligible to seek admission. All admissions will be are as per the University of Mumbai guidelines for respective courses. Students passing the Class XII from Boards/Universities other than Maharashtra State Board and seeking admissions to First Year B.
