The basic eligibility to join interior design course is to pass 12th in any stream. There is no age limit. Admission will be on the basis of the score in the institute’s entrance exam and interview thereafter.

Regarding placements, every college / institute provide assistance to successfully pass out students. But, no institute can guarantee you placement as it entirely depends on your capabilities, utilization of skills, presence of mind, communication skills etc.

Selecting an institute is purely and entirely your decision. It would be tough to state an institute as the best as every institute has it's own plus and minus points.
While selecting, you need to check the chief point that is recognition. You also need to check whether the institute has it's own publication house and connoisseur faculty.
Along with this, you may check other factors such as batch size, syllabus, fees, placements etc.
Be careful while selecting an institute as merely getting a degree is not enough for this competitive world.

If you are interested in Maths then definitely go for maths, either from science or commerce stream. Now if you are confused between science and commerce, then I would suggest you to take a look at the books of some of your seniors and then chose your way keeping into mind your interests. Having a look at the books and talking to your seniors really helps.
But whatever decision you make, make it according to your interests and your goal in life. That is what is really important. And one more thing, PLEASE don't let your decision be influenced by your marks in class X and the choice of your friends. Don't chose something just because your friends are going for it, otherwise later you'll have no other option left that to regret. If you don't chose wisely then academics might become a burden for you.
