An overall score of 5.5 would not be enough to gain admission in any college or university at any level. To gain admission for an undergrad program an overall band score of 6.0 would be required with not less than 5.5 in any module. To gain access for a graduate program you would need an overall band score of 6.5 with not less than 6.0 in any module. Yes there are limited options available with this score.
