The candidates need to score at least 45%marks in their 12th or equivalent exam.Admission in the BSc Microbiology course is provided through both Entrance and Merit by different institutions. Yes, you have chances to get admission for CSE with specializations or ECE in VIT Chennai because I am from VIT I got 16k rank in VITEEE 18. It was very difficult for me to believe that I landed on this rank. I was expecting around 5k. But that's okay. Around your rank you will easily get mechanical in Chennai. But if you are rich enough you can get any branch in any campus.

You will be eligible for most of the branches in VIT Vellore but you may not fall under category I. For Category-1. You won't get CSE but will be in the border line in case of Mech. And ECE. You will surely get EEE ; Civil ; BioTech. And some other specialised courses. You can get the following branches at VIT Vellore with a rank of 7000 category -1:-
1. Mechanical specialisation
2. IT
3. EEE
4. Electronics and Instrumentation
5. Civil.

Hi, as per question, there is no chance for you to get CSE/IT/ ECE in categories 2or 3. Because VIT Vellore campus as tough competition for CSE branch below 3000 rank can get it and the 5000 or above rank can get Chennai campus in category 1. you can try other branches like civil EEE you may get it in category 2 or 3.

Government colleges like IITs, NITs, are excellent for CS and also have comparatively low fees. You can also try for DTU, Jamia Milia, or state level colleges, like under AKTU, MHT CET. Also, scoring good marks in JEE Mains, can low down your fees in state level colleges.
