On March 25, the UGC published a notice stating that Annamalai University did not previously receive authorisation from the UGC to conduct any open or remote learning courses. The UGC continued by advising students not to enrol in the ODL courses offered by Annamalai University. The statement that regular and distant mode degrees cannot be compared is largely accurate.

Geography and must have scored minimum 50% aggregate marks or must have passed 3 year B.A/B.Sc.
