You are B.E. and already working as a data analyst. First evaluate your efficiency in different-2 Databases, its Query languages and most important the critical concepts of database.Because DBA's are expected to manage every aspects of database servers.
And then according to your proficiency in DB knowledge you can go for expert level DBA Certification from Oracle.These certification will surely help to increase your knowledge in Database concepts and db server managements.
After equipping yourself with expert level knowledge of Database you can ask from your current team manger to give some opportunities in Database Managements, and show him good performance in that and can ask for some more responsibilities in the same.
And if you don't get the opportunities in the current organization, it's your career and you only can decide what is best for you as per your interest. Change the job if required for an opportunity as a DBA. Hope this will help and good luck for better DBA career.

Zainab, you can also look at design. Design is a field that is age old &has been evolving every year like science. The world has changed a lot and a lot of new & wonderful careers in design have come up. Sometimes student Artists are too much enamoured by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. For e.g. science students do better if they go for CS or IT since that are areas where development is taking place rapidly. Similarly in Design the cutting edge areas are UID/ UXD, 3D Printing, Immersive Technology, Augmented Reality, 3D Projection etc, besides of course Game Design & Animation. Of course at the top of the pile lies Concept Designing (usually reserved for writers and visionaries) - these people are required by Event Companies, Animation Studios, VFX Studios, & of course Game Studios. At this stage, you may want to understand the creative world & the careers it offers. Interiors, textile as well as Web Design rely on the same skills - your layout skills & color sense. Journalism also is at this level and relies on your language skills & knowledge of history and current affairs. A little higher perches Graphic Design, Fashion Design, jewellery design, Acting, & Fine Arts which rely on one of your artistic skills - sketching & imagination. At a similar level perches VFX as well as Motion Graphics which rely on one of your artistic skills - Cinematographic skills & imagination. Then come careers like Animation, Film Making, Game Design which rely on multiple talents like your authority over sketching, acting, direction, voice, sound, writing, storytelling & problem solving skills etc. Any extra skill can be used in this. So it turns out to be one of the most challenging as well as satisfying careers. Sure not recommended for the weak hearted. Hi raveena, the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a standardized test that is an admissions requirement for most graduate schools in the United States.The exam aims to measure verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, and critical thinking skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are not related to any specific field of study. The GRE General Test is offered as a computer-based exam administered at Prometric testing centers.
Duration: About 3 hours and 45 minutes (includes 1-minute breaks after each section and a 10-minute break after third section).
