The Ministry of Education, Government of India, approved the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) as a ranking technique to evaluate Indian higher education institutions. On September 29, 2015, the framework was introduced by the Minister after receiving approval from the former Ministry of Human Resource Development (now known as the Ministry of Education).

To confirm admissions, candidates need to pay the BITS HD counselling admission fee before the last date. Applicants will be able to pay the admission fee online only. The exam authority will cancel the allotted seat in case of payment failure till the last date.
