No, it completely depends upon the university you want to take admission in. There are many colleges in India that accept students based on class 12^th merit into their BA Sanskrit course program.

The merit percentage in 12^th class for BA Sanskrit course admission varies from 45% to 55% for different colleges. Although, there are a few top universities that demand entrance exam qualification as mentioned in their admission requirement.  

Once NMIMS has closed the application portal, the admissions committee begins with the screening process. Those who have a good academic record are shortlisted for further evaluation. To check the suitability of candidates for the programme, the institute conducts an essay writing test. After that, a personal interview round is also held.
