TAPMI adopts a two stage process for admitting candidates to its PGDM Programmes. Valid CAT/XAT/GMAT scores are mandatory pre-requisites to qualify for the admission process consisting of Group-discussion/ Case Analysis / Personal Interviews.
So, now as you have received a call, you need to prepare for GD/PI.
For your reference find below some tips for how to prepare for Group discussion:
In most of the good colleges GDs are held on current topics related to sports, economics, business etc, so you need to be aware of all the latest current affairs, for this you should read news papers and magazines.
GD is a team activity, so while participating you should express your views very clearly at the same time you also should give chance to others members in team to speak.
It is always advisable to take initiative and speak first if you know about the topic, but if you are not aware of the topic you should listen to others first and then speak.
As soon as you get to know the topic don't immediately start the discussion take 1-2 minutes time, jort down the points and then speak.
While speaking in GD your tone should not be aggressive, it should be polite and humble.
When the discussion is over, it would be good if you give the final conclusion on behalf of the group.
To do well in interview, please keep in mind the following tips:
- Be comfortable.
- Listen attentively.
- Avoid nervous mannerisms.
- Speak clearly.
- Be positive and enthusiastic.
