Technically, after passing the 10th standard and not opting for a 12th standard, one can take a Diploma in Electronics and Communication, and then apply to certain design colleges which offer a course in design – either a foundation course or a direct Diploma course in design. 1. National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad: Provides Foundation course for learners who have a Diploma but do not meet 12th grade requirements.

2. Pearl Academy, New Delhi: Offers many design programs at different levels of the course, providing a Diploma programme and foundation programme for students who cannot complete the 12th-standard exams.

3. UID (Unitedworld Institute of Design), Ahmedabad: Does offers foundation and Diploma courses in design fields that for students who have completed their 10th and Diploma in any field.

To get admission at IIIT Sonepat candidates must qualify for the course-wise entrance exams. Candidates can follow the below mentioned steps:

Step 1: Qualify for JEE Main

Step 3: Seat Allocation

JoSAA will allocate seats online according to the candidate's JEE Main score.

Step 4: Seat finalisation

Once the seats are confirmed at IIITSonepat, the candidate must visit the nearest Reporting Centre within the deadline. In case the seat is not confirmed, wait for further seat allotment rounds (if any). After this, report to IIITSonepat for seat confirmation and admission. The verification of the documents would be done at the time of counseling/admission, where candidates must pay the tuition fee.
