 The courses like BSc in Computer Science at UPES (The School of Computer Science) fees details,

As it is a private university, It may collect total tuition fees worth INR 4.8 Lakhs for the whole programme. This only includes tuition fees. Then they also collect hostel fees worth INR 5.3 to 5.4 Lakhs for the whole programme. This was the cheapest option available for the hostel fees.

And they also collect one time fee payments at the time of admission taken by the students, which is worth upto INR 20,500 for this program. As this one time payment includes refundable security.

Therefore by summing all the fees such as tuition, hostel as well as one time fees, The total fee structure of the entire B.Sc in computer Science programme was worth up to INR 10 lakhs.

The school of computer education, UPES offers many B.Sc courses.As in B.Sc computer Science as they are providing various specialisation such as Data science, Artificial intelligence, Cybersecurity and so-on.Apart from all B.Sc in computer science (Data science)providing higher placements when compared to other courses.The annual fee of this programme was of INR 4.8 Lacs per annum.As they also collecting individual fees for admission as well hostel fees during the time of enrollment into this course.

It was usually an 3 year program, and applicants should meet eligibility criteria such as 50% of marks in HSC as well as SSLC.The top recruiting companies such as Amazon, Adobe, Accenture, American express and so-on.Also it meant for an average package of rupees 7.37 Lacs per annum.

The scholarships were being provided for both the male as well as female students. The UPES provides sports scholarships, Alumni scholarships, Bonafide as well as academic scholarships too. As the academic scholarships (100%) are based on 12th results, JEE Main results include limited seats only. As it also provides scholarship for students based on GATE scores for making the students get admitted into M.Tech programs. In the GATE scholarship programme as the students who secure a score of 70% and above are rewarded with a scholarship worth of 12,400 per month. As they also provide need-based scholarships.

The School of Computer Science at UPES offers various master's as well as bachelor's courses. B.Tech admission in this college requires a minimum of 80% marks in their SSLC as well as their HSLC. It also requires a minimum of 50% of marks in their SAT exams. They are also looking for some entrance exam cutoffs such as JEE Main, JEE advanced and so-on. The cutoff marks for getting admission to colleges may vary from college to college. Also depending upon the difficulty level of the examinations, number of applications received, the number of seats available and the previous records the cutoff is always decided. The well known "SCHOOL OF COMPUTER SCIENCE" which is located at UPES offers various top courses such as some bachelor's courses like B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc., and some master's courses like M.Tech, MCA, Ph.D and so-on as this school of Computer Science focuses on the students for a better understanding of the subjects and developing skills in problem solving. This college has provided with a wide range of equipment in their laboratories and enhances the interest of students and they also focus on the interest of the students. Also as they provide some specialisation courses like Artificial intelligence with machine learning, cyber security, cloud computing, Full stack development, Mobile application development, Internet of things, Blockchain Technology and so many courses. These courses may result in the skill development of the professionals getting graduated. Some top companies like Dell, Microsoft, HCL, Reliance Jio, Vodafone, L & T Infotech and so on. The yearly placement of students was really huge in numbers.

B.Tech at UPES School of Computer Science is a four-year course. For the first two semesters, you have to pay INR 137000/- as tuition fees and INR 91000/- as academic service fees total of INR 228000/- per semester. For the third and fourth semesters the tuition fees would be INR 145000/- and academic service fees would be INR 97000/- a total of INR 242000/- per semester. For the fifth and sixth semester, you have to pay INR 154000/- and INR 102000/- as tuition fees and academic service fees respectively total INR 256000/- per semester and for the last two semesters the tuition fees and the academic service fees would be INR 162744/- and INR 109000/- respectively total INR 271744/- per semester. The four-year course would cost you INR 1995488/- excluding training and certification fees, personality development courses fees, identity card fees etc. The institute offers financial aid as per needs.

The two institutions where School of Computer Science at UPES can be compared with Graphic Era University in r regard to B.Tech in Computer Science are; both institutions have good reputation about them but these are different in some aspects.

1. UPES:

Reputation: UPES has got very industrial oriented curriculum and was having very close linkages with IT companies which lead to a good placement possibilities.

Placement Rate: Approximately 85-90 percent, companies offering many jobs are TCS, Infosys, and Wipro.

Average Salary Package: Approximately Rs 4-6 LPA.

2. Graphic Era University:

Reputation: Graphic Era is well-developed and has good traditions of academic and non-ac- ademic activities behind. It also has a good Placement Record.

Placement Rate: About seventy-five to eighty-five percent of the population with different employers in the IT and engineering companies.

Average Salary Package: Approximately Rs 5-7 LPA.

UPES has more professional approach to teaching while Graphic Era has balanced and more academic and co-curricular approach. As for placements, both the universities have good placement records; but depending on the students requirement and interests, may or may not be suitable.

This is a very subjective question since you haven't clarified best in terms of which parameters. Well, I'll try to answer with reference to cost benefit ratio of the amount invested and placement done. For courses like B.Tech you have to invest 15-16 Lakhs in four years and its average CTC was 22.5 LPA as per the reports of 2023-2024. For BCA the investment amount would be 4-5 Lakhs in three years and its average CTC was 14.6 LPA as of 2023-24. For BBA & MBA the investment amount would be 10-12 Lakhs and 16-17 Lakhs respectively and its average CTC was 13.6 LPA & 15.6 LPA respectively. The investment amount for B.DES would be 20-22 Lakhs in four years whereas its average CTC was 12.75 LPA as of 2023-2024. For 5 year LLB (Hons.) programme you have to invest 11.78 Lakhs and the average CTC was 11.7 LPA as per the reports of 2023-24.

Pursuing B.Des at UPES School of Design is a bit expensive. This is an eight semester program. For the first two semesters, you have to pay INR 149000/- as tuition fees and INR 98000/- as academic service fees total INR 247000/- per semester. For the third and fourth semester you have to pay INR 158000/- as tuition fees and INR 103000/- as academic service fees total of INR 261000/- per semester. For the fifth and sixth semesters the tuition fees would be INR 167000/- and the academic service fees would be INR 110000/- a total of INR 277000/- and for the last two semesters the tuition fees would be INR 176762/- and academic service fees would be INR 117000/- the total would be INR 293762/- per semester. The complete four year course would cost you around INR  2157524/- excluding training and certification fees, personality development course fees, identity card fees, convocation fees etc. However, the institute has a financial aid facility as per needs.

The highest package for B.Des students at UPES school of design is INR 12.5 LPA.

In UPES school 106 Number of students placed. The highest package is INR 12.5 LPA. Average package is INR 7.18 LPA. Top 10% average package is INR 10.86.

The scope of B.Des students are Fashion Designer, Graphic Designer, UI/UX Designer, Textile Designer, Product Designer, Industrial Designer, Art Director, and earn an average salary ranging between INR 3 LPA to 8 LPA.Students who have completed their class 10+2 with 50 per cent marks can study BDes course at fees ranging between INR 2 Lacs to INR 12 lakh.

The average package of IIT Bombay BDes is INR 21.82 LPA.

Let me tell you something. I know a lot of design student here at UPES. And I want to say to you that please do ignore the negative comments you have seen so far. You might have heard about NID. Well this place matches their standard and much more. The faculty members here are all either from NID or IIT Bombay and some from Italy and Manchester too. 

Here the labs are very hi-tech and the workshop machines are also very advanced.

The college is well-equipped with essential learning tools. State of the art design studios at SoDS offer the right blend of real life learning and theoretical design fundamentals. The students are also given an opportunity to experience the real world of designing through summer internships and guest visits by influential people from the industry.
