Yes, you can start your business in small scale industry in mechanical engineering. See, there are various schemes are running in the country for start ups. You avail loans at minimum rates from banks also. You should plan your project, because you have explain everything when you will visit the bank for loan purposes. You should be clear about what is your aim with this start up.

It will be very difficult even in special round also. You can not get computer Science engineering with this score in Thapar University. I will suggest you to predict your possible colleges here :

All the VIT campuses have the same thing when it comes to placements, and curriculum and almost all the faculty members who are in VIT have a Ph.D. The placement package will be good even for an average student and VIT has recorded good placements.
