Hello, Company Secretary course can be pursued by students from any background, however, it is more suitable for students from commerce background. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India considers students from every background and that too, without any percentage criteria.

Admission to the company secretary course is open throughout the year. You can apply for the exam by creating an account at the ICSI official website and filling all the details. Your question is very common among many students. Both mode are their own pros and cons. You need to take decision by considering your situation.
1. Regular course gives you more exposure in respect of your study, while Distance course gives you an opportunity to do some course along side.

It depends on the cutoff criteria of colleges because there are different cutoffs for different colleges. in Mount Carmel College Bangalore, there is no cutoff for taking admission in BBA, you have to score more than 50% in 12th to apply for this course. There will be an entrance exam and an interview for the selection.
