Candidate must have a bachelor's degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade. Applicants belonging to SC/ST are eligible for a relaxation of 5%, i.e., a minimum of 45% marks or equivalent grade. Applicants expecting their final year results can also apply in SIMC. However, their admission will be provisional and subject to their proof of graduation with 50% marks or equivalent grade. The academic eligibility criteria for the SIMC MA in Mass Communication programme is designed to ensure that applicants have the necessary academic background to succeed in the program. The minimum requirement of 50% or equivalent grade is a good indicator of academic aptitude.

Admissions to MD at KGMU is entirely done via NEET PG scores. To apply for KGMU MD admissions, candidates are required to appear for NEET PG entrance exam in the first place. Assam University offers a four-year BTech course in three specialisations, namely Agriculture Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering, through the Trigun Sen School of Technology. Assam University BTech admission is complete based on JEE Main, followed by CSAB counselling. According to the Assam University cutoff for Round 6 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BTech specialisations ranged from 48929 to 76770. The most competitive specialisation has been Computer Science and Engineering, with a closing rank of 48929, followed by Electronics and Communication Engineering, with a 58639 rank. Analysis of cut-offs for previous years for Computer Science and Engineering reveals that Assam University Silchar has seen a declining trend compared to 2022.

With the above information, candidates can decide accordingly whether to join Assam University or not.

BTech is one of the popular courses of Assam University, which is offered across three domains. Trigun Sen School of Technology under Assam Univeristy have good standards of education, labs and placement records, and all these factors are worth considering.

Assam University offers two types of BTech courses: regular BTech, a four-year full-time course, and BTech (Lateral Entry), a three-year course only for candidates who have completed their Diploma in engineering in the relevant discipline.

Candidates willing to take admission in BTech at Assam University must take JEE-Main or Assam University Entrance Exam.

50% of the total seat intake of BTech is reserved for permanent residents of Assam.

It is a Central Government University. It runs 16 PG and 38 UG programmes through various Departments, Directorates and Centres within it. All the 25 general and technical colleges within the state are affiliated to Tripura University. Situated on the sprawling 75 acres of land at Suryamaninagar, 10 kilometers south of Agartala.

The NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) ranking for Tripura University is 88.

Even though the NAAC accreditation in 2007 classified it in C+, at present the University has improved its classification to B and is valid up to November 2020.

NAAC B Grade is not a very good classification for a central university and this shows that Tripura needs more focus in the education sector.

CUET-UG is a national-level entrance exam conducted by NTA whose score card/ rank helps in taking admission in all major UG courses besides BTech. Candidates willing to take admission in BTech must take the JEE-Main exam, which is also a national-level entrance exam but mainly for admission to BE/ BTech in various government and private universities and colleges.

Also, Assam University accepts admission in its BTech course based on the scorecard/ rank of JEE-Main. For lateral entry to BTech, the candidate needs to take Departmental entrance exam which is conducted by Assam University.

Candidates must prepare well for the examination described above because only a good rank above the closing rank specified in the merit list released by Assam University will make the applicant eligible for further counselling rounds followed by document verification and fee payment.

The exam centres for MET 2024 will be ready and made available online at manipal.edu. In 2024, the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will hold its entrance exam in multiple MET exam locations located around the states. The candidates would have to indicate their preferred exam cities on the MET 2024 application form. The cities chosen in priority order will determine which cities would host the MET exam centres. The admit card will contain information about the designated MET 2024 exam locations. The MET 2024 entry card will be made available online by the authorities. No requests for revisions will be accepted by the authorities after the exam centres for MET 2024 have been assigned.

Presently, 46 colleges are affiliated to Tripura University Suryamaninagar. The campus of the university covers an area of 75 acres. The varsity has 46 departments and 158 faculty members offering 61 programmes.

Tripura University presents some of the following degree courses: BBA, B.Sc, BA, MBA, MCA, M.Com, etc. Students with 10+2 from some known institutes with a minimum of 45% scores can apply for bachelor's degree courses. And for PG Courses, the candidates must have a graduation degree.

• The foundation-stone was laid at Suryamaninagar campus on 18 December, 1985 by Dasaratha Deb, the legendary leader of the historic Janasiksha (People’s Education) movement and the-then Deputy Chief Minister – cum Education Minister of Tripura.
