The key to crack interview (with flying colors) of any industry is basically more or less the same, but I will list those tricks or tips with hotel industry's point of view.
1. STUDY ABOUT THE COMPANY:- First look at this as not the interviewee but as interviewer and almost automatically the first thought that will come to your mind will be that the person I am recruiting must know about us then only he can be one of us or work with us otherwise he will be like a tiger among lions which is a mismatch and you definitely won't want to waste resources on such case. That's why research thoroughly about the company, all their previous ventures, their aims and ambitions and how you can help them achieve their objectives.
2. PREPARE WELL FOR THE INTERVIEW:- No one knows what in the interview's mind and what questions will he ask so as there is a saying in the armed forces " Think for the best and prepare for the worst". You can ask your teacher, friend or a mentor to be your mock interviewer so you can be confident while facing one and always remember 'practice is the key'.
3. BUILT YOUR BEST PROFILE:- When you are a fresher or without much experience you need to show your skill Sets in best possible way and I mean it literally, be armed with as many certified courses as you can get and do not just get certifications acquire their skill Sets too because in long term skills remain.
4. ASK YOUR SELF SOME QUESTIONS: - I am here listing some questions ask this question to yourself and be satisfied only when you are yourself satisfied with your answers. Repeat and reconstruct the answers and add few more such answers to your answers arsenal so you are ready to face any question thrown at you. Be genuine and be confident as the interviewers are humans like me and you, make them your friends and need not fear them and even if you fail (don't fear it too) analyze why it happened and then go again. Keep your mind fresh and clear be calm.
